Student Success Statement

"They're only truly great who are truly good."

-George Chapman

Reflection:
I've often found myself more impressed by the villain than the hero. Yet, Chapman's words ring with unspoken truth. The truly impressionable people are the good ones, the ones that have been made famous in history for all the right reasons are the people who are truly great. You never see anyone (who is sane, that is) revering someone like Adolf Hitler, do you? Yet we've seen everybody admire Martin Luther King Jr. Why? Because only men who are truly good are truly great. I recognize that, and respect those people as much as the next person, because I know their actions were founded by the best intentions.
