I believe that what Ezra means is pretty self explanatory. When you do something that you know is wrong, it won't bring you satisfaction no matter how you look at it, because deep down, there will always be a semblance of guilt of that knowledge of wrongdoing. You can't feel right about something that was wrong, like Ezra said, it is impossible.
